Losergeek.org.CO, Jakarta – Jakarta’s air quality is observed to be unhealthy or in the red stage this morning, August 14, 2023. As reported by the IQAir website, the capital’s air quality index reached 151.
“The concentration of PM2.5 is 11.1 times higher than the World Health Organization’s (WHO) annual air quality guideline value,” the IQAir website published on Monday morning.
The figure was recorded as of 7 a.m. Jakarta time. The air quality monitoring site also displayed a graph of the city’s air quality history.
The stage of unhealthy air conditions began at 2 a.m. with a level of 153. Throughout this morning, the highest score for Jakarta’s air quality indicating unhealthy conditions was 161 at 4 a.m.
The Coalition for Clean Air Initiative (IBUKOTA) reported that Jakarta has had the worst air quality in the world for the past two months. The data comes from the IQAir website.
“Today’s air condition is a fact that the government is not serious about efforts to improve air quality,” the coalition said in a written statement on Wednesday, August 9, 2023.
IQAir collects the data in real time. As of 7 a.m., Jakarta ranks 7th on the list of most polluted cities. The details are as follows:
